Grey. That’s the color for the end of the world apparently.
The Road doesn’t give us causes, it gives us consequences…it shows us how humans forget about humanity when all that is left is a will to survive.
To any info about the story of the film and a well developed perspective on it go here. And yes, this movie is devastating, depressing, and will leave you with a feeling of nothingness.
For me, it didn’t really bring me a moment of reflexion about the future or the preservation of the planet. It made me think about life and the things we will do for the ones we love. I find the character of Charlize Theron much more complex than what appears on screen…normally humans (and other mammals) see the mother as the protector figure, and the father as the provider, but here we see a character playing the exact opposite. The movie leads us into thinking she’s just weak-minded or something…but I’d like to read the book to get a more deeper notion of the whole plot.
Watch this movie if you’re into something that will leave you in a gray state of ming.
Não sei se foi por eu o ter visto que meteste, mas também só agora é que o vi. É assim um bocado nhé :S
