Alife x Nas x Casio G-Shock

Don’t worry, this blog ain’t turning into a fashion statement yet ahahah.

I discovered this release some minutes ago…and I really got into it and felt the need to share it with you all.
I always wanted a Casio watch when I was a little kid…my mom used to offer me old school analog watches on my birthdays, and although I liked them (my Timex Indigo was the bomb back then), I always craved the futuristic look of the Casio digitals…

So when I saw this I was like: “perfect”.
Alife
, one of the most hyped brands out there, collaborated with Casio to develop this watch as a celebration of the record release party for the last Nas album, which happened on July 14th, 2008. To make it perfectly clear, they etched the phrase “ALIFE STATE OF MIND” on the wristband (NY State of Mind…Anyone?) and the Alife Sessions logo on the back casing of the watch itself (the gold also gives it a nice touch).

This is something I’d wear. The price is not that high for a release limited to 100 pieces (210$ on the Alife site, around 163€…even with shipping it’s not that much for a good watch) and it really has a distinctive style set apart from the latest re-lauch of the G-Shock models.
Somehow you look to it and feel that Nas and NYC vibe just from the colors…Alife went smooth on this one for sure.
