Roots Party?

Recently I’ve been keeping my posts ’bout music on a low profile, trying to focus a little bit on my other interests, but I couldn’t let this two videos slip under the table, cause these are two of my favorite bands.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

First one up is the new music video for the Armand Van Helden remix of the song “Signs” by Bloc Party. The video has a very strong visual concept and the remixed music is top notch too.
Bloc Party have also announced they will be releasing Intimacy Remixed, a new remixes album on limited editions in the beginning of May. I’m really looking forward to this release cause their album Silent Alarm Remixed was almost as good as the original one, with a very selective choice of artists and a very high quality of remixes that preserved the intensity and emotion of the original songs.

Secondly I bring you the live sound of the best hip-hop band ever, and of course I’m talking ’bout The Roots.
The video below is from a live performance they did this month, inviting some notorious MC’s like Talib Kweli, John Forte or Pharoahe Monch for a little party called “The Roots Present the Jam”. Very smooth music and nice verses, Black Thought is still one of the most underrated MC’s ever and to confirm it simply pay attention to his verses on the video.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Good music for a lazy sunday.
